A large majority of teens (84%) believe that young people should be taught to be married before they have a child.’ These presentations inform and motivate parents regarding the importance of teen sexual health. Each presentation combines eye-opening, research-based facts about widespread teen sexual activity and consequences with clear guidelines for encouraging teens to make healthy choices. *A kind note from a parent that attended a training: There was so much useful info in your presentation I hardly know where to start! I guess for me the most striking visual was the chart showing the steps leading from hugging to intercourse with the line drawn at making out. In a short, concise, one line delivery you summed up what this battle is all about. I believe it will make.... it easier for my son to understand the "start with the end in mind" approach and allow us to have a more meaningful discussion about his choices. You also educated me on how important it is for me to help my son set boundaries before he finds himself in a difficult situation. I always just used the "don't do it theory", but kids today know so much more than we did at this age. You helped me understand that I need to go into much more detail with him, and your straight forward explanation has given me the courage to do just that. I now also see why it is important to revisit the topic on a regular basis, at that same level of detail. Thank you again for sharing such important "parent life-skills" with us.
